A tent for a hiking trip?

A good tent is your personal 5 star hotel on a hiking tour. The tent offers protection against wind and rain. We recommend a tunnel tent for a multiday fell hiking here in Lapland. Wind stability is better than in a dome tent. In the tunnel tent you can fit your gear well in the vestibule so there is plenty of space in the sleeping area. 

A dome tent is also a perfect solution. The dome tent is self standing and doesn’t necessarily need soft ground to stay up. You can also get juicy Instagram photos at the dome tent.

Rental Terms: The renter is responsible for the product for the entire rental period. If the product is damaged beyond repair, the renter is responsible for compensating 100% of the product’s listed price. If the product is damaged but can be repaired, the renter must cover the repair costs. The listed price is checked on the product’s official website.

Gold Prospecting Hiking Tour is your unique chance to enjoy an easy yet meaningful escape in Lapland. During the journey you may spot reindeer grazing and various autumn migratory and bird-of-prey species. We also ascend Mountain Ropi, 945m, which opens a wide panorama over the entire wilderness and provides a clear physical goal in the middle of the week.

You can join this tour if your general fitness is solid and your mindset toward winter trekking adventure is open. We begin the journey in cosy accommodation, where you have time to prepare yourself before transferring to starting point, Kilpisjärvi. From there, the slow and steady progression toward Finland’s highest point, Halti, begins.

We travel on cross country touring skis and pull pulkas, which naturally keeps the pace calm and consistent. The route follows a hut-to-hut rhythm and a safe itinerary has been planned in advance.
