Let’s go snowshoeing to the ancient forests of Ylläs!
This tour takes you to Pihka Outdoors’ secret cabin, following the hidden trails in the snowy forest. At the hut we will make a nice warming fire and have a cup of coffee.
Along the way you’ll get to admire the magical snowy trees, look for animal prints in the snow and enjoy the peace and calm of real Lapland.
As mentioned, the cabin is secret and out of sight which means that this tour is only possible with expert guide.
In total the trip is around 4km. If the weather allows us to see some northern lights, this tour is also possible at night time.
What’s included?
The tour includes transportation in Ylläs area, gear and guidance. Warm drinks and snacks will be provided at the secret hut.
Warm jacket is also available during the break, if needed.
Please note
Physical condition must be fairly good as we will be snowshoeing in the deep snow through the forest.
Own travel insurance is also a must.
What do I need to bring?
There is no need to wear your warmest winter jacket as snowshoeing can be quite sweaty. Good winter boots, gloves and hat are recommended.
